Positive: The view of the waterfall from the patio was a nice surprise! The location and views cannot be beat if you’re looking to stay in Fajã Grande. I would try avoiding a Sunday arrival as everything is closed on the island. Be sure to stop near the airport for groceries the little Mercados nearby have very limited selection for cooking. For restaurants I had two favourites…A esplanade (walking distance from the suite) and Aldeia da Cuada. Be sure to go on as many hikes as possible…the host has two pairs of poles that can be borrowed. Just ask for them.

Negative: This is not a standalone property….it’s a suite in the owner’s home. The house is U shaped with the suite next to the road. You have the ocean view in front, waterfall to the side. We stayed 3 nights and rarely saw the owner who is very pleasant and nice.
