It is a large beach, boasting golden sands and turquoise waters which are very rich in iodine.
It is considered one of the most iodine-rich beaches in Europe.
From the sand, dotted with numerous rocks, you can look directly south and see Cabo da Roca in the distance.
Next to the beaches access ramp there is a fossil dune which has been designated as a geological monument.
The so-called consolidated dune is one of the most interesting geological features on the beach.
It is a coastal dune formed by the accumulation of sand resulting from the dual action of sea and wind.
There are two restaurants close to the apartment, both with snack-bars and terraces:
the Duna Bar, with a sea view and a menu full of fresh fish, but also meats,
and the Bruxinha, also with several fish and meat dishes and varied snacks.
In Magoito village, a couple of kilometers away, there are several more restaurants specialized in barbecue fish and meat.
In the village there are also two supermarkets, a pharmacy, cafés and pastry shops, gas station and other small local businesses.
