Ranch Cabin w/Game Room | Pool, Ping Pong, Arcade | House in Sisters
2 Bedroom House in Sisters
Summary:
A warm two-bedroom cabin on Central Oregon ranch land, with a game room all to yourselves: pool, ping pong, a Pac-Man arcade, poker table, darts, and a basketball hoop. Wood stove inside, deep covered porch outside, and the Three Sisters on the horizon. Ten minutes to Sisters, twenty to Redmond and the airport, thirty to Smith Rock. Sleeps four.
The Space:
Welcome to our cabin, a comfortable ranch-country retreat set among old junipers with pasture and open sky in every direction. It is not fancy, and that is the point. This is a place to slow down, shoot a game of pool, and grill dinner on the porch while the light goes gold over the fields.
Your Own Game Room
The barn across the way is yours alone during your stay. Under a soaring wood and corrugated-metal ceiling supported by whole juniper posts, you will find a full-size pool table, ping pong, a classic Pac-Man arcade cabinet, a felt poker table, darts, an indoor basketball hoop, and a giant tic-tac-toe board. A leather sectional faces a TV, there is a wet bar along one wall, and a wood stove for winter nights. No sharing, no sign-up sheet, no one else wandering in.
Rainy afternoon, post-ski evening, or a family that cannot agree on anything. The game room solves it.
The Cabin
The main room is bright and open, with knotty pine trim and a wood stove set into a brick hearth for chilly mornings and evenings. A leather sofa, a rocking chair, a ceiling fan overhead, and a basket of games by the hearth.
The kitchenette covers the basics well: refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, Nespresso machine, a good knife set, and everything you need for breakfast and simple meals. Two barrel stools pull up to a round table by the window. Most dinners happen on the porch grill.
The primary bedroom holds a queen bed with a reclaimed-wood frame, windows on two walls, nightstands and reading lamps. The second bedroom is a bunk room with twin bunks, a coat rack, and a growth chart on the wall. Kids claim it immediately. The bathroom has a corner shower, a wood vanity, and good light.
The Porch
The covered porch runs the width of the cabin and is the heart of the place. Deep and shaded, with a gas grill, a dining table, and cushioned lounge seating facing open pasture and juniper. Morning coffee, afternoon shade, sunset, and stars later.
The Setting
The cabin sits on open ranch land east of Sisters, surrounded by juniper and grazing pasture, with a gravel drive and plenty of parking. Look west across the fields and the Three Sisters stand on the horizon. Nights out here are genuinely dark and quiet, and deer come through regularly. It is a working rural landscape rather than a resort, and that is exactly the appeal.
Sisters and Beyond
Sisters is about 10 minutes west, a walkable Western-front downtown of galleries, coffee shops, restaurants, and outfitters. It punches well above its size for events: the Sisters Rodeo in June, the Outdoor Quilt Show in July, and the Folk Festival in the fall. Book early around those weekends.
Redmond is about 20 minutes east for a full grocery run, and Bend is roughly 30 minutes south for its brewery and restaurant scene.
For the outdoors: Smith Rock State Park is about 30 minutes northeast, with world-class climbing and the Misery Ridge hike. Black Butte Ranch is 20 minutes west for golf beneath the Three Sisters. Suttle Lake is around 35 minutes northwest for swimming, paddling, and an easy lakeside loop. Camp Sherman on the Metolius and the McKenzie Pass scenic byway are both easy day trips.
For winter: Hoodoo Ski Area is roughly 45 minutes northwest, the relaxed local hill with tubing. Mt. Bachelor is about an hour southwest for full resort terrain. Sno-parks along Highway 20 are closer still.
Getting here: Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) is only about 20 minutes away, which makes this an easy fly-in trip rather than a long haul from Portland.
