Positive: Great view! The appartement is located a little outside of porto da cruz, since the roads are very steep in madeira you reach a great height after 3 min drive. From the appartement you have an amazing view on the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other. The appartement is quiet and calm.

Negative: Since it's located a little outside and the roads are quite steep travelling to the beach/ocean/city center is easier by car (we didnt try to walk). there is not much around the appartement, which makes it quiet and relaxing, but without a car it's hard to get groceries. The houses in portugal are pretty cold compared to appartements in central europe ( was not a problem for us) but be sure to bring warm clothes, since the isolation seems not to be the best. Getting to the appartement is a little adventure the first time because of the steep roads (also the entry )

Summary: great stay, easy checkin /access. Communication was easy and helpful. amazing view!
