Summary: The property at Pico Dreams – Sportfish has potential: the bed was very comfortable, and the pillows were excellent, which made for a good night’s sleep. However, the overall experience was disappointing. The biggest issue was the lack of care from the staff. The kitchen, which is shared among guests, had no paper towels and no soap available. When I asked for these basics, the staff member said it would be taken care of “tomorrow” while she was busy potting a plant. That kind of attitude really shows a lack of attention to guests’ needs and to the workplace in general. Considering the price, which is already on the higher side, I expected much better service and attention to detail. While the bed was great, the careless management overshadowed the positives. I would recommend looking for another hotel in the area that takes guest comfort and service more seriously.
