Summary: Wonderful location, run by genuinely lovely people. We took the self catering apartment option and it suited us down to the ground. Slightly remote if you are not fully mobile. We did not want to hire a car, so used taxis a lot. We were given a driver's number and received excellent service. There is a handy bus service into Funchal.
