Positive: We arrived in Pinhau (the local town) on a very hot and humid Saturday afternoon to find that this Guest House was over 5 miles away from the railway station and up a very steep road. After nearly 2 hours baking in the sun, a rather grumpy taxi driver agreed (rather grudgingly) to drive us up the mountain. We felt rather trapped as we had no transport of our own but a couple of other people gave us a lift into town which helped. The owner of the property is a very hard working lady who was very sociable and made us two evening meals during our stay - she even sold us some wine so we did not go short on drinks. The house is spotlessly clean - beds very good and breakfast was plain but plentiful - lots of bread........Great value for money given that there is a shortage of tourist accommodation in and around Pinhau and the scenery from the local viewpoint are amazing. One last thing we booked the room with an en-suite - this is the only room with no balcony or views.

Negative: It would have been good to have been pre-warned about the lack of taxis in the area.
